You are responsible for your life. You can’t keep blaming somebody else for your dysfunction. Life is really about moving on.
We all start out so damn sure, thinking we’ve got the world on a string. If we ever stopped to think about the infinite number of ways we could be undone, we’d never leave our bedrooms.

Don’t bring baggage from an ex-relationship into your next relationship… Unless you want it to be a short trip.
What’s the point in being alive if you don’t at least try to do something remarkable? How very odd, to believe God gave you life, and yet not think that life asks more of you than watching TV.

Saying ‘I notice you’re a nerd’ is like saying ‘hey, I notice that you’d rather be intelligent than stupid, that you’d rather be thoughtful than vapid, that you believe that there are things that matter more than the arrest record of Lindsay Lohan. Nerds like us, we are allowed to be unironically enthusiastic about stuff. Nerds are allowed to love stuff, like jump-up-and-down-in-the-chair-can’t-control-yourself love it. When people call people nerds, mostly what they’re saying is ‘you like stuff.’ Which is just not a good insult at all. Like, ‘you are too enthusiastic about the miracle of human consciousness.’
